I have worked with Dan and the Empower Leadership team for over 7 years now with different organizations and continue to come back due their ability to customize the programming to our needs, the energy and enthusiasm they bring to each interaction and the overall positive experience my groups have had each time we hold an Empower event. Even in the current environment, Dan was able to create virtual experiences that were engaging, fun and beneficial for our groups.

Groton Parks and Recreation held a virtual training with Dan from Empower due to the pandemic. I was a bit leery because last year, the staff had a great time (in person) and the success of camp can be directly related to the Empower training. We took the chance and it was very successful! Dan was well prepared and engaging with our staff. Many of the skills he taught were used at camp this year. We really believe it helped clam their fears of “the new camp” this summer. I would highly recommend Empower Leadership’s virtual training for summer camp staff teams!

In a time where nothing has been normal, we found “normal” in an untraditional way with Empower Leadership. In the blink of an eye, our after school program as we knew it had changed. The one thing we knew in that moment, was that we needed to keep our after school program team together and support them. Dan and his team were quick to develop a series of virtual team building meetings for our after school program staff. These virtual workshops/trainings/competitions were crucial in keeping our team intact. It is safe to say, that if a virtual staff meeting is scheduled, the staff hope it’s with Empower Leadership.

We have been lucky enough to work with Empower during these unpredictable times! It has been the most engaging and interactive virtual experience I’ve had – and thanks to the pandemic, I’ve sat through my fair share! Dan has been able to keep our youths engaged and I believe he has even provided a safe enough virtual space that I’ve seen new friendships formed – all through the computer screen. The activities he has created and the environment he offers has been a great experience and I feel as though I have learned a lot from his ability to facilitate groups online. Today’s leaders need to be prepared to execute across digital mediums, as well as the physical. Empower Leadership’s online programming provided an immersive experience that helped bring team-building and personal challenges to the forefront while providing additional flexibility for scheduling.

Running after school programs in a virtual format can be challenging! Finding virtual programming that youths actually want to take part in, is even more challenging! Empower Leadership has a way of keeping over 60 students and staff completely engaged, respectful, and very happy, and that’s no easy feat. These programs allow our students to walk away feeling accomplished. We have tried A LOT of virtual programming, Empower Leadership just gets it!
